CPS data on students' high school graduation rate and college graduation rate and their immediate college enrollment rate by neighborhood Chicago Public School statistics by community area

"The Educational Attainment of Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Students" report provides a close look at how CPS students are progressing on the path to and through high school and college. This annual analysis examines key milestones of attainment — including the CPS high school graduation rate, immediate college enrollment rate, and college completion rate — and it tracks how these rates have changed over time. We also disaggregate the data by race/ethnicity and gender, and we look at rates of attainment for students who began as English Learners, students with disabilities, and students who were ever enrolled in an Options school.

Additionally, the report provides a yearly Post-secondary Attainment Index (PAI), which estimates the number of current CPS ninth-graders who would complete any type of degree or certificate in the next 10 years, if the district’s current rates of attainment were to stay the same for the next decade.

Below, you can download the latest version of the report as well as our data insights, which provide a visual summary of many of the key findings. You can also download previous versions of the report dating back to 2014.
